  • Gold Award in the Category VFX and Motion Graphics at EVCOM Screen Awards 2016

  • Recently, the award ceremony of EVCOM Screen Awards, which is the only international social responsibility communication awards competition, was held in London. The competition is sponsored by EVCOM (Event & Visual Communication Association) and is of great reputation and influence among the world’s corporate communication awards. T4·Logo by Dans Digital won out from over 400 excellent works and won the top prize of the competition - the Gold Award in the Category VFX and Motion Graphics at EVCOM Screen Awards 2016. This is the only gold award won by an Asian company, and it is also the first gold award won by a Chinese creative company in EVCOM Screen Awards. 
    This refreshes the honor list of Dans Digital again, and it becomes the 71st award of Dans Digital in international competitions in the field of advertising, three-dimensional animation, and digital visual effects, and it is also the 13th gold award of Dans Digital.

    EVCOM Screen Awards is the world’s only propagation competition aiming to promote social inclusion, enterprise social responsibility, and sustainable development. It attracted numerous top international animation companies, special effects companies, and film production companies to join the competition. For example, we can see the work First To A Million and Nike’s advertising film Nike City Cup which win many Cannes Lions, CLIO Awards and other international awards, and the advertising film Enter the Game of KONAMI, which is one of the most influential game software suppliers in Japan, it is also listed among the entries of EVCOM over the years. 
    Organized by the world’s largest visual communication industry organization EVCOM, the predecessor of EVCOM Screen Awards is IVCA (International Visual Communication Association), which was established in 1967 under the support of Parliament of the United Kingdom and UK Trade and Investment. EVCOM gathers more than 1600 creative companies around the world, its members also include companies with global influence, such as BP, HSBC, Rolls-Royce, and famous enterprises serving British Petroleum, Sony and Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation. The annual output value of its member companies exceeds 40 billion pounds.

    The award competition of EVCOM Screen Awards this year is even fiercer than ever. The competition is divided into 23 competition categories and receives more than 400 excellent works from 84 different countries and regions. Many of the entries are award-winning works of Cannes Lions, CLIO Awards, New York Festivals and other top-ranking international competitions. The jury panel of the competition is consisted of over 50 industry experts, and finally, 77 shortlisted works were chosen upon rounds of selection. The works of Dans Digital T4·Logo Part and works of Buddy Films and Havas Sports & Entertainment, The Edge Picture Company and other well-known production companies of Britain are all on the shortlist together. Some judges express that it is difficult to make the selection during the appraisal, and they say that “the entries fully overturn our concept about the advertising creativity and execution. The level of works is so high that it is very difficult to make a decision”. During the final selection, the gold, silver and bronze awards of each category of 2016 EVCOM Screen Awards are selected within two days of intensive deliberation.

    EVCOM Screen Awards holds the grand award ceremony in the long-standing Lindley Hall at 18:30 on April 28, 2016, according to the local time of London. More than 400 well-known advertising creativities, film producers, directors and big shot and leaders in the creative field all over the world were gathered together.

    The gold, silver and bronze awards of the 23 categories are published during the award ceremony. Surprisingly, T4·Logoof Dans Digital wins the gold award of EVCOM Screen Awards, which is the top award of the competition. Award-winning works of other categories include the advertising of other famous brands such as BMW, Unilever, HSBC, and Audi. Moreover, The Edge Picture Company which is the best production company of 2016 New York Festivals, iceni.co, the media production company of Britain which won 50 international awards, and BFBS Radio which is British Forces Broadcasting Service Company are also on the list of the award-winning companies.

    This is not the first time for T4·Logo to win awards in international competitions. The work won the Best VFX Awards in the CICLOPE International Festival of Craft 2014. What’s more, since all the other four works submitted by Dans Digital win awards in CICLOPE, Dans Digital was honored as the Best Digital Company in Asia-Pacific region in CICLOPE.
